Yes, this problem still exists. I still have to correct the keymap with xmodmap, and setting the KB map with setxkbmap still breaks things. It's not really a problem for me, I just re-set the keys on login, but it's still a bug.
I'm not using that keyboard anymore, but I still see this with at least two other keyboards.
