Trolling or not, I certainly still have the problem and nothing I've tried has worked. Maybe I'm not doing everything right, and maybe I'm not a Linux geek that understands all the suggestions here - maybe I'm not even savvy enough to provide the thread the reports and details needed to help understand the bug (I've tried, though!) - but does that mean a fix isn't merited? I hope Ubuntu developers didn't mean to imply that only Linux geeks should utilize Ubuntu and the rest of us are out of luck. I understand some folks have found workarounds, but I'm guessing not everyone who uses Ubuntu is capable of debugging on their own (I can't be the only one!!! I manage pretty well and it's all a great learning experience but I seem to have hit my knowledge limit on this one.)
I could be wrong, but the fact is that I did not have this problem under any previous Ubuntu release, and have had it since upgrading to Hardy. Logic suggests this is an issue with Hardy, as I have done nothing to my machine other than install regular upgrades and updates from Ubuntu.
