As mentioned above ( https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/linux- source-2.6.17/+bug/62685/comments/15 ) the blacklisting does the trick for me. However, after longer periods in suspend mode the WLAN is somehow disabled. I have to "sudo modprobe -r hostap_pci && sudo modprobe hostap_pci to make it work again. This problem was not present in Dapper. (I am on an Sony Vaio PCG-V505AP).
