The driver thinks there is something connected to the S-video output,
using 800x600, and uses "clone" mode for the two screens:

S-video connected 800x600+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 
0mm
   800x600        59.9*+   60.3  

Can you please try the command: xrandr --output S-video --off"

It sounds pretty much like bug #156550.
