I tried alpha4 desktop iso and I was able to boot and run from the iso after enabling the VT-x/AMD-V option. It ran and installed fine, but I get kernel panic trying to boot the new install.
I always trial new releases in a virtual machine so this is a little disappointing. I may have to burn a cd and try it on a real pc. I want to see how well the new X works. -- Kernel panic during boot in VirtualBox with kernel 2.6.26.3-generic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246067 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
