This reports seems similar and possibly a duplicate? of bug 197252 .
Did you ever test the final Hardy release? Also in case you may be
interested, the latest Alpha for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 is also
available for testing - http://www.ubuntu.com/testing. Please let us
