Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
In GNOME in Ubuntu 8.10 alpha 4, the "System -> About Ubuntu" link returns the
following error once yelp opens:
Could not parse file
The file ‘///usr/share/gnome/help/about-ubuntu/en_AU/about-ubuntu.xml’ could
not be parsed because one or more of its included files is not a well-formed
XML document.
When the command "yelp ghelp:about-ubuntu" is run manually from the command
line I see the following error:
/usr/share/gnome/help/libs/C/legalnotice.xml:13: parser error : Extra content
at the end of the document
<copyright>
^
///usr/share/gnome/help/about-ubuntu/en_AU/about-ubuntu.xml:418: element
include: XInclude error : could not load
/usr/share/gnome/help/libs/C/legalnotice.xml, and no fallback was found
If I modify the /usr/share/gnome/help/libs/C/legalnotice.xml file to
remove everything below and including the <copyright> line, the bug is
fixed and the "About Ubuntu" link now works.
