Gene, patience :) It should go into Intrepid for testing first, and then
it can be backported to Hardy. This is the standard QA practice. And
since the developer resources are limited, it's more important to fix
problems in the next version than in the old, otherwise the releases
would become worse and worse. I share your frustration that things don't
get fixed in the release that people are actually using, but this has
improved in Hardy - you've probably noticed the flow of software
updates.
