I have installed 2.6.27-1 on the top of Ubuntu 8.04. Lost sound immediately. PC speaker driver has priority over my "HDA Intel". I can see both devices in mixer. Blacklisting snd_pcsp helps. I think that snd_pcsp should be blacklisted by default.
