** Changed in: specter (Ubuntu Hardy)
Importance: Undecided => Medium
Status: New => Confirmed
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: specter
Specter fails to install, with specter's log showing:
specter: Couldn't load plugin: /usr/lib/specter/specter_HTTP.so: undefined
symbol: __stack_chk_fail_local
This cases specter start to fail, causing the install to fail.
This cascades along the chain to cause specter-pgsql to fail, as the
dependency has failed.
The system is a fresh gutsy ungraded to heron (Ubuntu 8.04.1), with specter
installed after the upgrade and all applicable updates installed.
