Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg
I'm running an up-to-date intrepid developer build and found the
following bug:
When running with compiz enabled and when i start the gnome-screensaver the
gnome-screensaver-dialog does not come up.
- I don't regain access to my desktop (screen stays blank) if i kill the
gnome-screensaver (remotely using an ssh login)
- I don't regain access to my desktop (screen stays blank) if i kill compiz
(remotely using an ssh login)
I cannot kill X with 'killall Xorg' (usually does work) only killall -11
Xorg (segfault) seems to work.
I've attached an strace of Xorg just before I start the screensaver with a key
combination.
The 1st input is me trying to get the gnome-screensaver-dialog with hitting
some keys on the keyboard, 2nd i try it with mouse actions (move+left-click)
then i try to kill Xorg with killall Xorg and after that I kill it with a -11.
