gnome-clocks adds world clock functionality to GNOME Shell and provides alarm/stopwatch/timer functionality. It is part of the core GNOME apps. All its dependencies are in main.
Based on verbal discussions most people seem keen for it to be shipped by default, with a blocking issue being the alarms being unreliable if that app closes: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=783387 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=735869 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=772819 We should ship it by default or give a reason in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DefaultApps why it should not be included. --Robert
