I have made that application and is listed as "Pending Approval" since

However, for PPU rights, those get processed by the Developer
Membership Board, and you have to abide by the DMB schedule. The DMB
may want to see sustained contributions as well for the package.
Sure, that is reasonable. I'm aware that if this might eventually work,
it will take a long time, probably at best in time for the next OpenCPN
release.
Perhaps some kind soul sees this discussion and sponsors me. Who knows?
