Ubuntu GNOME will NOT magically be an LTS release all by itself. WE DO
need to work hard enough to achieve that. Ubuntu GNOME Community never
let us down with 13.10 and the result was a super stable release and
almost everyone is happy. NOW, it is TIME to do that yet again and go
the extra miles. Let's do it :)

14.04 release is supposed to maintain the 3.8 release (correct me if I'm wrong) so I think in the technical perspective there isn't a huge work needed. So:

What special kind of work is required to do a LTS release?
