Hello,

In around 30% of the installations I made of Ubuntu-Gnome 14.04
localized to catalan (with spanish packages installed too), I've seen an
abnormal behaviour of keyboard layout switch.

In every one of those installations:
1. Catalan (or spanish too) installation leave 2 keyboard layouts:
local and en-us
2. At some boots layout switches unexpectedly to en-us, user must
manually return to es.
3. Some times, during session, keyboard layout switches but tray
indicator doesn't update layout name (user may be pressing Super+Space
by mistake). User must manually swith to en-us, and return again to es.
4. Removing en-us layout becomes worse, because problem remains and user
cannot perform workaround described in 3rd point.

- Did somebody else see same problem in localized instalations?

- Is there some event I can hook when kbd-layout is changed?

- (from command line) How can I detect current layout and switch it?

Thanks.
