The only thing you need to keep in mind, is that at some point, pacemaker will replace *some* bits of RHCS. Not all of it (as it can´t), and we are talking at a time frame between one or two years here. It´s not something that can happen over night.
Thank you for clarification.

Actually, we (Andres and my self) have been working with Debian-ha-maintainers and couple of our patches for RHCS were sent to them and were accepted by Guido for Debian packages. Same goes for Martin's pacemaker repository.
I'm sure you've noticed that I'm regularly in #linux-cluster and #linux-ha. Problem is that I haven't been active on IRC lately and, what's more important, I haven't had time for more work on cluster stack in Ubuntu (economic crisis hit some countries quite bad). Some of us aren't paid for work on Linux distributions or open source applications and our time is limited.
I've proposed a discussion about cluster stack at UDS and will get back into current state of both RHCS, cluster-glue, Pacemaker and all other bits and pieces.
I appreciate your concerns and I can only promise that I'll give my best to do everything right.
