Depending on how you are connecting it up to your machine there are numerous ways. One of the ones I like personally is remote usb Ports. There are numerous ways to accomplish this, but one of the easier projects is http://usbip.sourceforge.net/. Also has a windows client in case you are using cross platform from your Linux machine to a Windows or Mac box.... This, with a serial-usb connector works well. You can also set it to use a physical com port if needed. For your sound, a USB Signalink tie-in works very well. Feel free to ask if you need assistance on setup. :). I have a TS-440sat connected up to a linux box for digital mode using FLdigi and WSJT, is their a relatively easy way to remotely control the radio from another computer on the LAN? I've tried RDP and VNC both cause problem with routing the audio to the client computer rather than to the rig, am I missing a setup / configuration step? Or is there a better way to do it? XCVR: TS-440SAT CAT: USB CAT cable from Ebay Audio: Tried both onboard and via USB dongle sound card Linux: Xbuntu 14.04 Thanks Sean, VE6SAR | ||
