The CPU easily jumps up to its 100% usage. Has anyone tried this? I have a laptop based on Intel Centrino Duo processor. I have never observed any anomaly. The CPU usage is 50% even when I am compiling something (except when I use `make -j 3` of course). May be because I compile my own kernels and never use the stock kernels shipped by Ubuntu? That may be the reason. In any case, I think you should file a bug on this.
