Hi, Yes, I have Intel Duo Core Processor in my Lenovo N100 and I have observed my CPU usage at 100% when am fairly not running other than Thunderbird and FireFox. When such a thing happens and I check out whats using the CPU with `top`, then I observe nothing to be taking up so much of CPU. Only gnome-terminal, multi-load applet, Xorg and sometimes metacity and firefox stays on the top. As G0SUB said, think we have to file a bug report on this :) And one more thing, I am using Edgy beta and whenever it boots into X, and the 'human' brown background appears, it takes some 5-8 seconds for the splash screen (the one which comes before the desktop appears) to appear. Is this normal or does it get in to the desktop faster for you all ? -- With Regards Parthan.S.R.
