Hi AllWell i am fairly new to linux/ubuntu.i have a querry for all u guys.In my 
office i can do \"man string\" to display the header string.h something similar 
for other .hNow in ubuntu which package precisely i need to install to achieve 
the same.Also can anybody point  to the link from where i can download the 
same, since on ubuntu PC i don\'thave internet access. Also same thing stands 
for STL (standard template library).Thanks for any help in advance.Amrit.Ubuntu

installed before  updating. It is a meta package that depends on all the 
default  installed packages. It will ensure a smooth transition from one  
release to another (even if you skip one in between).    Also after 
dist-upgrade if you face any problem, try to identify the  package and then do 
a dpkg-reconfigure for that package. If in doubt  then do \'dpkg-reconfigure
