The OP tried upgrading from 6.04 to 7.04 directly. One cannot upgrade 6.04(Dapper) to 7.04 (Feisty) - or atleast not recommended - do not know if someone has thought of a work around. You have to first upgrade to 6.10 than to 7.04 6.04 -> 6.10 -> 7.04 Best option - boot from a live CD, back up your data and do a fresh install using the easily available 7.04 CD - gunzz -- ubuntu-in mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in
