It seems that in your modem, the password is set within the broadband modem, as according to you, Windows do not require any dialing and connection is made automatically. If this is the case, go to System > Administration > Network Just provide the I.P. address, Subnet mask, Gateway, Primary DNS & Secondary DNS as provided by BSNL authority. Restart the service.
