Ram, I haven't been following this thread, but have you added yourself
to some groups which might help like "plugdev" and "netdev" and "usb"
if it exists?
I think the command would be "sudo adduser yourusername plugdev" etc...
I was searching a bit online and saw a thread which I think you got
this working before - maybe in an earlier Ubuntu release?
