You could first start by backing up your existing profile. This should take you down that road :) # sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa and sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade. Read somewhere (can't find the link) that it works fine on Lucid. Good luck! If hell breaks loose, remove the repo from sources and revert.
