Firefox 3.6.6 is expected to arrive as update in all currently supported Ubuntu releases. This includes Jaunty (9.04).
Your safest bet would be to wait till this update is actually released. Of course you can also help Ubuntu Mozilla team with testing the proposed packages and any extensions (from repositories) that you use.
