Hi Ramnarayan,
Huawei E173 device is plug and play, which just needs to be enabled in
network manager by selecting sim card's network once and thereafter with
single click on network manager. And also most of the Huawei mobile
broadband(data cards) devices available in India works out of the box
with ubuntu/fedora or in any other GNU/Linux for that matter.
You can also install modem-manager-gui to check data balance of your 3g
connection.
thanks,
yogi

Hi
Am looking for recommendations for PlLug and Play mobile
broadband / 3g Devices with further suggestions for good
internet plans.
Some people asking for hep got themselves a range of reliance
devices and each one of them require wvdial and some script
running (modprobe and stuff) before it can run. Seems like
they keep getting devices that became outdated in 2008-09 and
the reliance instruction to setup for such devices on Linux
are just a tad older than Linux itself
So am looking for suggestions
1. For devices that enable broadband or 3g and will run in
Ubuntu 12.1o and upwards by being enabled trough network manager
2. For suitable internet plans to accomapany the said devices
that would allow roaming free , reliable and fast internet
connections
Look forward to your responses
thanks
Ram
