In marketing, and project management generally, people talk about
SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time Bound)
objectives. An example might be:
* Ubuntu to be the operating system for 10% of all web-servers, as
measured by NetCraft, by 1 September 2008.
From a personal standpoint I'm not sure why we want this objective. I
don't see Ubuntu on servers as being a really high priority, especially
when put next to bug 1. I'd like to point out that there are systems
better suited to being servers then ubuntu (for a slab of reasons), and
having a 'must be on servers because' objective isn't really helpfully
for anyone.
