After reading Vol9, Issue 25 I really believe this should be a topic of discussion for a Marketing
Team meeting.

I believe selling Ubuntu branded items by folks who are engaged in the community is a bad idea.
In a lot of ways it flies in the face of open source & "free" and it's just a matter of time before
someone makes an issue of it.

The Marketing Team should ...

1. Come to agreement on what is appropriate Ubuntu branding
This would inclue artwork, look, items to be branded.

2. Come to agreement on how these brandings will become
    available {Canonical or someone else}.

3. If the answer to item 2 is someone else then where will the profits
go?  Maybe a charity would be appropriate. Ubuntu supports the
efforts to eradicate AIDs would work.

I realize folks can do whatever they want and if someone desires to manufacture shirts with
a Ubuntu logo there is nothing we can do. But on the other hand I'm not sure we want to
endorse it.

In the final analysis, no one will want their values questioned over this.
