Hi Marie,

There is no need to change your system, even to Xubuntu.  If you already 
have Ubuntu installed on your computer, and things are running well, there 
is no need to install other versions due to worry about the continued 
existence of Ubuntu...it is being actively developed and is currently one 
of the most widely used distributions of linux.

I think a lot of people get confused by the acronym "LTS", which instead 
of meaning "lite", means "long term support".  Stay tuned, since upgrades 
for your newly installed ubuntu system will be made available 
approximately every 6 months!
