I would recommend deciding on a "script" for the composite and get
people to submit one video matching that along with whatever
variations they want. Editing part of a sentence out of a video is a
nightmare to do even vaguely tidily and people have this habit of
changing their expression and moving that gives you a jump unless you
get into complicated CGI to smooth it out.
If you just want the "I am Ubuntu" then anything including that is
fine (doesn't matter what they say around it - but a bit of silence
where you want to cut always helps so it could be a bit of a pain if
someone manages to run the "I am Ubuntu" together with something
before/after it). If you want "Hello, I'm <name> and I am Ubuntu" then
something with another clause in there is going to be a pain to work
with.
Since the clips we're after are short I don't think it would be too
onerous to ask submitters to give us a few versions and we can then
try them and see what works. I'd think[1]:
- I [am|use] Ubuntu.
- [Hi,|Hello,] I'm <name> and I [am|use] Ubuntu.
- [Hi,|Hello,] I'm <name>, I <interesting thing> and I [am|use] Ubuntu.
I'm sure we can add and remove a few options from that.

[1] Syntax explanation (mostly following that used for commands in man
pages, I'm sure there's a name for it but I can't remember it): stuff
in square bracket ([]) is optional, stuff in angle brackets (<>)
should be replaced with something specified by the text in the
brackets, and | separates alternative options for a replacement.
