Hi,
I experienced the same problem as well. Editing the /etc/default/grub file
might work.
Do the following:
1) sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
2) Change the following line on the /etc/default/grub file:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
Change it to: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet acpi=force"
