ah. not so old. but acpi compl is v1.2.  current acpi is v4

1 try first the steps under "Change Boot Options Temporarily For An
Existing Installation"
2 if #1 confirms the behaviour, then do the final steps under "Change
Boot Options Permanently On An Existing Installation"
