Hi, I've read a couple of new items and some discussion about choosing the e-mail client for Ubuntu Phone. Have you evaluated Trojita [1] already?
Trojita has been around since 2006. We joined KDE in late 2012, but the application does not require anything besides Qt. It supports both Qt4 and Qt5 builds, has a decent test coverage and -- as I have been told by users -- is extremely fast. The main focus is on the desktop version, but a MeeGo Harmattan port exists (albeit with a reduced functionality) and a Blackberry version is in the works.
