Thanks Sergio, the command /sbin/initctl restart network-manager fixed
my issue and I am now able to get 3G data! Awesome! Thanks for the
assistance.

I have attempted to connect my phone using 3g so that I can use it for
development without having to switch back to Android, however, the data
connection does not connect. I am in Canada and Rogers is recognized as my
carrier on the phone, I am able to get SMS and Calls without issue,
however, when I attempt to turn wifi off I am left with no data connection
on the phone. Has anyone else experienced this?
Check if you are affected by

I you are a simple
sudo /sbin/initctl restart network-manager
should get it going.
Another possibility could be that your operator's settings aren't in the
mobile broadband provider info database, in that case
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-contexts would return an non configured
context.
Cheers
