Hello everyone, Some good news today. We asked QA to perform exploratory testing for our latest 14.09-proposed images and with their blessing we decided to promote it to the ubuntu-rtm/14.09 channel! Please enjoy images #72 for krillin, #63 for mako and #59 for the emulator - now marked as image #3.
But first, to clear out some misunderstandings: promotion to this channel doesn't mean that this image is ready for RTM. Our ubuntu-rtm channels are only used for beta and stabilization purposes - all images there are, so to say, something like release candidates that still need much work before they're ready. It's by no means an official final image. Anyway, it's only been a week since our last promotion, so the number of changes is not as big as before. Besides: developers are concentrating on bug fixes and stability. But as a brief list, we can see that this image offers: * User feedback for secure connections * Developer mode fixes * Bug fixes for dialer, messaging, address-book and ofono * New Unity8 and QtMir * Many many fixes for other important components We recommend everyone to switch to the ubuntu-rtm/14.09 channels for stable and reliable images. We also attempted to promote an image from the devel-proposed channel today, with Alan volunteering to perform the necessary exploratory testing (thank you!). But it seems that local videos can no longer be launched from the video scope [1]... Before this is fixed, we cannot consider a new promotion for this channel.
