Hello everyone, OTA-6 work almost done!
Not so long ago we have built our hopefully final promotion candidate image - it's in QA's hands now. Once we get a green light regarding the testing we will proceed with the promotion plan as mentioned yesterday: mako, flo and arale released tomorrow, krillin and vegetahd next week. We will most probably release the emulator with the first batch of images as well as all fixes are already present. We will, of course, use phased updates, so not all users will get the update at once - for safety reasons. As for the krillin release next week: developers are also investigating a probable power consumption regression detected in the last days. It seems that with the recent images krillin got a bit worse - at least from the power consumption tests that are being ran per-image. This might be a false alarm in the end, but if we really did regress in this regard there will be one more blocker to fix before the BQ releases next week. Once the release happens there will be a separate announcement with all the release notes as well.
