Hello everyone, Today was a quiet day - at least landing-wise. The new dual-building version of unity-scopes-shell has landed, but besides that there was not too many other rc-proposed releases. Today is also the day of the Ubuntu Touch OTA-7 feature and string freeze. It seems due to a small misunderstanding in development teams some features still didn't manage to land before the deadline - the product team will be considering exceptions for those as soon as they're ready for release. Still, be sure to get all string changes in before end of today. This will allow translators to do their work before the final image release.
Currently the final release date of OTA-7, as already mentioned by Pat, is planned for the 19th of October - so later than usually. The main reason for that is the Chinese Golden Week. That being said, the date of the final freeze is still under discussion as we're thinking of using the extra time for landing additional fixes. More news on this later this week. In the meantime many infrastructure changes are happening, as seen through Robert's announcements. The CI Train's direction is to become as much self-service as possible - we apologise for all the inconveniences throughout the road to that goal.
