To be clear: no version of Ubuntu was ever released without a single button to disable network searches and a notification on install. Clicking a single button has never been a difficult way to disable this feature. RMS and others have a political agenda and use polemics to further advance their extremist causes. In some cases their contribution is a valuable counterbalance to certain tendencies in technology, but it turns out not everything you read on the internet is completely true or even useful for leading a rewarding and productive life. -- Stephen M.
