I am not at all certain my posts are reaching the list so please could
somebody reply?
I have just been to the photography shop Jessops to have some of the
photos printed that are stored on my phone. They have kiosks there
designed so you can plug in your memory card, phone or other device to
access the content. Unfortunately they do not seem to work with Ubuntu.
It was amusing to have the entertaining chat with the sales assistant
who insisted on knowing if my phone ran on ios or android and was unable
to comprehend anything other. Unfortunately their kiosk did not
recognise the existence of my handset at all and the fact that I had to
decline his suggestion to transfer the pictures via bluetooth because my
phone can't do that is to be honest a bit embarrassing.
So does anyone know why their system didn't recognise my phone? I note
when connected to a pc it appears as two drives (the phone and the
memory card) could this be something to do with it?
Eventually I had to copy the pictures onto my memory card and remove it
from the phone. Far from the ideal experience.
