to triage your way through all your pre-built binaries is not a
joyful task.
Luckily Ubuntu did that transition about a year ago already, there are no
issues with moving the OS to the new ABI, that is done already... The
problem is the app store. Existing apps would not run and would have to be
recompiled by their maintainers (and many in there are rather "fire and
forget" type of apps i fear).
