The unapproved queue of Focal currently contains an upload of libreoffice[1] which is "a bug-fix release of the 6.4 line"[2]. However, as I understand it this update switches to tracking a different upstream branch of LibreOffice. As such I'm not certain this still meets the new upstream microrelease criteria[3] which has been used for previous libreoffice SRUs. We certainly want to be able to update libreoffice for the LTS on a regular basis, but I'm concerned about whether or not the mimo branch is getting the same level of upstream quality assurance.
I know that sil2100 had some concerns about this change too[4] and I think we need to come up with a solution so we can continue to provide updates of libreoffice for the LTS. Does anybody think this continues to fall under the standard upstream microrelease exception? ricotz - Can you provide any additional information about the upstream testing of this branch?
