My experience is, that 64Studio is the most performant LinuxDistro for audio I ever have tried.
The one big advantage of UbuntuStudio over 64S is indeed the superior consistency of the Ubuntu Repos. I have major trouble to compile QT-apps from source in 64Studio since there are lots of crude dependency-problems with packages needed to build and some devel-packages do not work as they should. In UbuntuStudio I can build virtually every package I wish to from source - qtractor, traverso, rosegarden - you name it.... -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIGgkP1Aecwva1SWMRAqNqAJ9pJoBRYdWQ+lMDUg3+WgNssWHsdwCePB6L yrs55myx/vtdK31E3/5UeCM= =0DRC -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
