Open office will not install in 9.04, leading to system freezes. Installing Ooo with generic kernel and then rebooting with rt will not help; Ooo just doesnt start...
So it's back to the drawing board. Unless you wont use Ooo. For me it's unacceptable so i'll have to stick to 8.04 untill finally there will be a working ubuntu studio with rt kernel Alfons Op 5 jun 2009 1:00 PM schreef <[email protected] >: Send Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of Ubuntu-Studio-users digest..." My intent is to do a fresh load of Ubuntu 9.04 and then add the Studio 9.04 auxiliary packages. My preferred desk top is KDE. Hardware is Intel, P4 D, Nvidia I would appreciate any insights, or precautions. I have noticed that this list has become very quite, is Studio alright? The only snag as I see it the nVidia card.
