Hi Daniel, I know exactly what you mean, even though I have never been a part of one of the localization tems from Gnome/KDE. Since these groups have been around longer than Rosetta, I can only assume that some serious/major ground work has been made/gained! My first impulse is to bring in this background into Rosetta and have it be the basis for our quality control and future work. IMHO, it wouldn't make any sense not to use this knowledge base.

Well, you made your point very clear, and believe me when I say that I share it as well. However, you have to give us, Rosetta translator and teams a bit more of credit, for we too take a lot of pride in what we do, and I for one thing don't consider the many hours I spend translating as "mocking around". Once again, I strongly believe that we should all get together and piece together a plan for incorporating more disciplined and well-tested procedures and protocols from now on.
