Some time ago I was investigating how we could improve the OO.o translations situation. From back then, I've cleaned up and updated a document I was working on and I've put it at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/OpenOffice.org. I hope documenting how the process works and the challenges involved helps at least with some of your questions. These are no private data. The only reason why they are internal is a practical one: the files must be generated there and it is not trivial to sync them to another location. I have already spoken to Danilo about putting them in a more accessible place, and we'll see if it can be done (for me it would also be easier, since in this way I could generate the statistics completely automatically). I've manually copied the current statistics to http://people.canonical.com/~dpm/stats/, so you can consult them as well, but as I say, these will not be automatically updated. > Anyway, in > principle a good idea to have some pseudo-statistics about the default > installation content translations.
