Hi all,

I had the same problem some months ago and after ask to David Planella
he said me to fill a question on launchpad to remember launchpad
developers to implement this.

You can see that question at
https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+question/102816.
Unfortunately only David was answered the question an remains
unimplemented.

Regards

Title: Question #102816 : Questions : Ubuntu Translations

Ubuntu Translations (internationalization and localization)

Asked by Francisco Diéguez on on 2010-03-01

How to import Firefox translations previously exported from Launchpad?

After export Firefox translation from Launchpad to review purpouses you can't import again giving and error that isn't a zip file. So what's the procedure to import that?
I think Launchpad doesn't have implemented the firefox's pofiles import so this have to be achieved manually.

Reopening it again, haven't had the chance to look into it, then.

For the reference, Fran told me some time ago he had already been in touch with the Galician Mozilla upstream folks and they said they'd include the fixes from Ubuntu in the next version.

This is just about cleaning up the documentation at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/TranslationLifecycle#Mozilla%20applications and coming up with a procedure that permits manually creating an .xpi file that can be sent upstream.

Francisco Diéguez said on 2010-04-19:

Yes,

I've talked to Mozilla translators and they'll import the translations from our fixes but at Ubuntu Galician Translators we want to make the version that comes with Lucid takes all this fixes too.
