chkrootkit could be useful if someone/something has planted some nasties in your server, ClamAV as mentioned for virus scanning, lmsensors (and related tools) to check on what your server is trying to tell you (maybe it's getting too hot under load and crapping out, maybe a fan is busted inside, etc) and if it happens again, I'd be on the phone to the vendor getting an engineer out to look at it. -n -- [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
