Sounds like what has changed is the version of Chrome. As I mentioned previously I get exactly the same problem using the latest nightly builds of Chromium on Ubuntu 10.04 so it's not a 10.10 problem, more a Chrome problem (as Ubuntu 10.10 will most likely be running a newer version of Chrome by default compared to the default Ubuntu 10.04.). Looks like chromium-browser (the only Chrome related package I can find in the default repositories on Ubuntu) is version: 6.0.472.62~r59676-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 in Ubuntu 10.04.1 and version: 6.0.472.63~r59945-0ubuntu2 in Ubuntu 10.10. So I presume something changed slightly between the versions (maybe a bug was fixed that broke something else?). I would say if a Google search doesn't throw up anything then maybe log a bug on Launchpad here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser You could also try what appears to be the official Chromium page on Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/ If in the mean time I figure it out I'll let you know (as I say it's happened to be a couple of times but I tend to switch between Firefox and Chrome so it's not as frustrating for me).
