My first guess it that your router is overheating. Next time you have a problem, very carefully check the temperature of you router - check the temperature on the router before you do any downloading, so you have something to compare when you have a problem. If temperature is not the problem, then you may just be overloading your router or have a faulty router. Do you have the same problem if you are downloading whilst connected via ethernet cable to the router? There maybe a way to limit your download speed when connected over wireless, but have not looked into that. Any one have ideas?
