It tells me that people are far too up themselves to consider that new
people don't already know the routine. It also tells me that new users are
being put off from getting involved by a small minoritity's attitude.

I'm talking about quite some time ago now and Ubuntu behaves very
differently these days. The fact my system is currently rather unwell and
is actually able to tell me the problems it's experiencing have already
been reported makes the problems I mentioned here far less important.
